Medical Documentation Specialist - Bladder Cancer Focus

Responsibilities

• Build a structure for complete, correct, and timely oncological documentation according to Onkozert requirements for uro-oncological centers, specifically bladder cancer
• Record, maintain, and update all Onkozert-relevant data
• Record and transmit data to the state cancer registry and communicate with the registry regarding feedback and corrections
• Document diagnostics (histology, TNM, grading), therapies (surgery, systemic therapy, radiotherapy), and follow-up outcomes
• Maintain oncological datasets in ODOK (Orbis)
• Ensure documentation quality, including completeness, plausibility, and deadlines
• Prepare and support audits
• Collaborate closely with the medical urology service

Requirements

• Completed training as a nursing specialist, medical assistant (MFA), documentation assistant/tumor documenter (ADT), or comparable qualification
• Ideally experience in oncological documentation
• Ideally proficient with Orbis/ODOK or comparable KIS systems
• Experience with Onkozert certifications and requirements
• Good knowledge of oncological terminology and classification (TNM, ICD-O)
• Structured, careful, and independent working style
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of bladder cancer, related guidelines, and therapies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good written and spoken German
