Medical Director

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for clinical operations across multiple skilled nursing facilities
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with nursing home administrators and regional healthcare leaders
• Lead implementation of evidence-based protocols and quality programs to enhance outcomes
• Optimize clinical workflows and integrate advanced technologies to improve efficiency
• Guide a team of medical providers, fostering a culture of learning and accountability
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and risk management
• Use data analytics to track outcomes and drive strategy
• Champion new technologies such as telehealth and EHR systems

Requirements

• Active medical license (MD or DO)
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or Family Medicine
• 7–10 years of healthcare leadership experience
• 5+ years in skilled nursing or related care settings
• Strong expertise in geriatric medicine and post-acute care
• Willingness to travel throughout the Rochester area

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degrees such as MBA or MPH
• Leadership certifications
