About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute US Medical Affairs strategy aligned with global objectives and US market needs
- Lead US Medical Affairs launch readiness activities, including scientific platform development and medical education programs
- Support US congress strategy execution, including symposia and scientific presentations
- Partner with the MSL team on US KOL engagement strategy and insight collection
- Organize and execute US Medical Affairs advisory boards and expert panels
- Integrate medical perspectives into brand strategy in collaboration with HCP and Patient Marketing
- Support US trial site engagement and recruitment strategies in partnership with Clinical Development
- Identify opportunities to generate real-world evidence (RWE) and phase IV data
- Ensure compliance with US regulatory and legal requirements for all medical activities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on neuromuscular diseases and therapeutic platforms
- Support the review and approval of externally presented materials through Medical and Promotional Review Committees
Requirements
- Doctorate degree (MD, PhD, PharmD)
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs within the US pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Experience in rare diseases; neuromuscular experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead US launch readiness and medical strategy execution
- Experience managing direct reports
- Ability to travel up to 30%, including overnight and occasional weekends
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
