Medical Director of Primary Care Digital Innovation

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the Primary Care digital innovation strategy, focusing on AI integration and new technologies.
• Serve as the clinical expert and physician liaison to ensure digital innovations integrate effectively with clinical operations.
• Oversee the creation and leadership of the NM Primary Care AI Fellowship program.
• Represent Primary Care in systemwide discussions and committees related to AI and digital health.
• Develop and implement training programs for clinical staff to enhance the utilization of digital tools.
• Maintain a 50% clinical patient care load alongside 50% leadership and strategic duties.
• Monitor emerging trends in digital health to assess their potential impact on Primary Care practices.

Requirements

• Board-certified Primary Care Physician credentials.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Primary Care practice.
• Proven leadership experience in the areas of digital health, AI, or emerging technologies.
• Strong clinical expertise and a systems-thinking approach to healthcare delivery.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with physician peers and administration.
