Medical Director

Responsibilities

• Serve as the founding clinical and scientific leader for the Meritus Personal Health Institute (MPHI)
• Lead a multidisciplinary 10-person team including APPs, health coaches, technicians, and navigators
• Design clinical protocols, SOPs, and participant intake workflows
• Direct Epic integration for pharmacogenomic (PGx) prescribing alerts and referral triggers
• Partner with Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM) faculty on research publications and grant applications
• Oversee a comprehensive testing portfolio including whole genome sequencing, pharmacogenomics, and advanced metabolic profiling
• Own quality and outcomes tracking and present progress to the MPHI Governance team
• Support revenue development through research grants and value-based care arrangements

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Active Maryland medical licensure (or eligibility)
• Demonstrated experience leading clinical programs and multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with genomics and advanced diagnostics

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification in a primary care related specialty
• Established research credibility
• Passion for rural health and increasing healthy life expectancy in underserved communities
• Experience in lifestyle medicine and precision medicine
