Medical Director CMHA Program

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical perspective to the Certified Mental Health Assistant (CMHA) program curriculum
• Assist the Program Director in developing and maintaining curriculum, admission, and graduation standards
• Coordinate and teach pre-clinical classes and manage clinical rotations
• Recruit clinical sites and advocate for the CMHA profession to local and regional hospitals
• Assist with faculty and student recruitment, interviewing, and accreditation metrics
• Instruct students in both classroom and clinical settings
• Assess student performance in academic and clinical environments
• Participate in college and university committees

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
• Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
• Current unencumbered Ohio medical license
• Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Current DEA license
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience (university-based undergraduate or graduate medical education preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of clinical experience
• Experience coordinating and supervising clinicians
