Medical Courier

Responsibilities

• Safely transport specimens, supplies, reports, equipment, and materials to clinic sites
• Accurately record and receive specimens while securing them according to regulations
• Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a clean driving record
• Follow scheduled routes while managing unexpected stops and special pickups
• Maintain specimen integrity using company-provided bags, coolers, and dry ice
• Update route information, stop sequences, and client notes
• Communicate equipment or vehicle deficiencies and clinic site concerns to management
• Interact daily with medical professionals and laboratory staff

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds
• Ability to work independently
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccination or approved accommodation required

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in the medical courier industry
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
