Medical Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients in an outpatient clinic setting
• Support clinic operations through patient scheduling, registration, and flow management
• Provide hands-on clinical assistance, including preparing exam rooms and rooming patients
• Obtain patient vital signs and review/update allergy, pharmacy, and medication lists
• Facilitate clear communication between patients, providers, and the clinical team
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, and infection control
• Advocate for patient comfort, access, and satisfaction throughout the care journey

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in healthcare, customer service, or a patient-facing role
• Ability to perform basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs
• Availability to work onsite in Monmouth, NJ
• Mandatory Saturday availability
• Flexibility with shift times and days (shifts can fall between 6:30 am and 10:00 pm)
• Ability to complete 3 weeks of initial classroom training in Manhattan

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-stress clinical environments
• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity when supporting acutely ill patients
