About the role
Responsibilities
- Code all specialist departments according to DKR and FPV
- Record TISS/SAPS points for intensive care units
- Responsible for training physicians on annual updates or changes in the DRG system
- Regular exchange with chief physicians of all specialist departments
- Assist in the implementation of a digital patient record
- Process MD reports and case dialogues with payers
- Exchange data digitally with all payers via MBEG and KAIN/INKA
- Regularly review all supplementary charges in cooperation with the pharmacy
- Coordinate with billing, patient admission, financial controlling, and accounting
Requirements
- Trained medical coder (Kodierfachkraft)
- Completed medical training in nursing with very good medical knowledge
- Long-term experience in coding according to DKR and FPV
- Experience in MD processing and case discussions
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Analytical thinking and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Several years of experience in medical or financial controlling
- Experience with ORBIS, Kodip Suite, or ISH-med
