About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies
- Ensure patient medical information is accurate and up to date
- Prepare bills and invoices documenting amounts due for medical procedures and services
- Perform bookkeeping responsibilities using QuickBooks Online
- Aid the Billing Manager in processing claims, working denials, and assessing insurance discrepancies
- Post primary and secondary payments
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of the insurance process
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or Xero accounting software is a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting
- Self-motivated with an excitement to learn
