Medical Assisting Adjunct

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction covering both hands-on activities and theoretical medical assisting concepts
• Manage classroom administrative tasks including developing syllabi, class schedules, and lesson plans
• Assess student learning and maintain current course syllabi
• Ensure courses are taught in accordance with established syllabi
• Deliver instruction on-campus and/or via distance learning

Requirements

• Associate degree in a healthcare-related field
• Current CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification
• Three years of recent employment in a healthcare facility
• Minimum of one year of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting performing or observing clinical or administrative procedures
• Ability to teach hands-on and theoretical concepts
