Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Support dermatology physicians by delivering high-quality patient care
• Manage patient rooming, medical history updates, and visit documentation
• Assist with dermatological procedures including biopsies, surgeries, and skin treatments
• Administer local anesthesia and remove sutures as directed
• Perform scribing responsibilities and input chart notes
• Process prescription refills and manage prior authorizations
• Log pathology samples and coordinate with laboratories
• Operate specialized equipment such as Narrowband UVB and photodynamic therapy units
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control practices
• Clean and stock examination rooms and supply areas

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 0–3 years of medical assistant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record maintenance
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in dermatology
