Medical Assistant/LPN

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and procedure trays
• Escort patients, check vital signs, and record medical history
• Assist physicians with procedures such as suture removal and minor surgeries
• Prepare and package specimens for lab analysis
• Schedule diagnostic tests and facilitate physician referrals
• Coordinate with hospitals, pharmacies, and nursing homes regarding patient care
• Pre-certify medications and referrals with insurance providers
• Manage manual inventory of drugs and office supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of exam rooms and lab areas

Requirements

• Ability to take patient vitals and perform injections/immunizations
• Proficiency in charting, documentation, and sterile techniques
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Knowledge of age-appropriate patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dermatology medical office
• Experience using Modernizing Medicine/EMA Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
