Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and procedure trays for patient use
• Escort patients, check vital signs, and record medical history
• Assist physicians with procedures such as suture removal and minor surgeries
• Prepare and package specimens for laboratory analysis
• Schedule diagnostic tests and facilitate physician referrals
• Coordinate with pharmacies, hospitals, and insurance providers for prescriptions and pre-certifications
• Manage manual inventory of drugs and medical supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of exam rooms and lab areas

Requirements

• Licensed medical assistant or nursing degree
• Minimum of one year of previous experience in a dermatology medical office
• Proficiency in taking vitals, injections, and sterile techniques
• Strong oral and written communication skills for patient rapport and documentation
• Ability to handle patient confidentiality and work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing Modernizing Medicine / EMA Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
