About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered medical services and education in support of the mission.
- Maintain accurate patient records and enter information into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Perform front-office duties including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting with check-in and insurance verification.
- Manage financial transactions, including collecting fees and recording billing information.
- Perform back-office clinical duties such as obtaining vital signs, conducting basic diagnostic testing (finger pokes, urinalysis, rapid HIV tests), and performing blood draws.
- Assist clinicians during exams and procedures, and administer injections as directed.
- Provide unbiased, factual patient education regarding pregnancy management, birth control, and STIs.
- Integrate equity and inclusion best practices into all patient interactions and job functions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
- Commitment to advancing racial equity and communicating effectively across differences.
