About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality healthcare services to residents, including assessing somatic conditions and monitoring vital signs.
  • Administer medications to clients within scope of practice in accordance with state regulations.
  • Support the Behavioral Health Division by performing administrative and clinical tasks to ensure cost-effective medical services.
  • Assist with clinical duties, including phlebotomy, IM/subcutaneous injections, TB testing, and aseptic wound care.
  • Conduct health education classes and teach clients regarding self-administration of medications and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate written documentation of observations, medication delivery, and treatment progress.
  • Manage medical supplies, including stocking, inventory, and ordering.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment through proper cleaning and disposal of medical equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • Washington State Medical Assistant Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a behavioral health or rehabilitation setting.
  • At least 6 months of experience working as a medical assistant in a residential setting.
