About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide quality healthcare services to residents, including assessing somatic conditions and monitoring vital signs.
- Administer medications to clients within scope of practice in accordance with state regulations.
- Support the Behavioral Health Division by performing administrative and clinical tasks to ensure cost-effective medical services.
- Assist with clinical duties, including phlebotomy, IM/subcutaneous injections, TB testing, and aseptic wound care.
- Conduct health education classes and teach clients regarding self-administration of medications and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate written documentation of observations, medication delivery, and treatment progress.
- Manage medical supplies, including stocking, inventory, and ordering.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment through proper cleaning and disposal of medical equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- GED or High School Diploma.
- Washington State Medical Assistant Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a behavioral health or rehabilitation setting.
- At least 6 months of experience working as a medical assistant in a residential setting.
