About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide quality healthcare services to residents, including assessing somatic conditions and administering medications within a behavioral health setting.
- Assist with clinical duties such as monitoring vital signs, performing urine drug screens, and conducting TB testing.
- Perform specialized tasks including intramuscular/subcutaneous injections, phlebotomy, aseptic wound care, and ear lavage.
- Educate clients on health-related issues such as self-administration of medications, nutrition, and infectious disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate written documentation of observations, medication delivery, and treatment progress for Individual Service Plans.
- Manage medical supplies, including stocking, inventory, and ordering.
- Ensure a safe environment through proper cleaning and disposal of medical equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- GED or High School Diploma.
- Washington State Medical Assistant Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a behavioral health or rehabilitation setting.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant in a residential setting.
