Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow by rooming patients and assisting providers with scheduling
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience by preparing patients for provider visits
• Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, and review medications
• Perform patient screenings, waived laboratory testing, and diagnostic procedures such as EKGs, ABI, and spirometry
• Administer vaccinations and assist with the application of durable medical equipment
• Maintain exam rooms by ordering supplies, stocking rooms, and conducting infection control and quality control checks
• Support the care team with medical record management and EMR data entry
• Provide telephonic support and assist with home-based support for high-risk members under clinical direction

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• Medical Assistant certification or registration
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• 2+ years of experience working with geriatric patients
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
• Ability to work in a flexible, positive, and accountable manner

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a Medical Assistant role
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification
• Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Experience with home-based patient support
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other community languages
