Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care through face-to-face, telephone, and electronic contact for examination, treatment, and monitoring
• Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, chief complaints, medications, and allergies
• Assist physicians and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other clinical procedures
• Coordinate patient care according to physician direction, company standards, and policies
• Maintain proper EMR and paper-based documentation for all assessments and procedures
• Prepare and clean patient rooms and set up instruments and equipment while maintaining strict infection control protocols

Requirements

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA (or willingness to obtain by date of hire)
• 1+ years of experience working as a Medical Assistant

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
