About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms and procedure trays
- Escort patients, check vital signs, and record medical history
- Assist physicians with procedures such as suture removal and minor surgeries
- Prepare and package specimens for lab analysis
- Schedule diagnostic tests and facilitate physician referrals
- Coordinate with pharmacies, hospitals, and insurance providers for pre-certifications
- Manage manual inventory of drugs and medical supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of exam rooms and lab areas
Requirements
- Licensed medical assistant or nursing degree
- Ability to take vitals, perform injections, and handle infectious waste
- Proficiency in sterile techniques and routine lab procedures
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a dermatology medical office
- Experience with Modernizing Medicine / EMA Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
