About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare patient charts, imaging, and lab results for scheduled visits
- Perform patient intake, including medical history, medication reconciliation, and vital signs
- Room patients and maintain exam room cleanliness and stock
- Prepare procedure trays for in-office injections such as Botox and Xeomin
- Manage clinical phone calls and triage provider inboxes
- Obtain prior authorizations for medications using CoverMyMeds and payer portals
- Coordinate specialty pharmacy medication delivery and peer-to-peer reviews
- Manage medication inventory and samples in compliance with clinic policies
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification or diploma (CMA, RMA, CCMA or similar)
- Experience in a medical office or specialty clinic
- Strong organization and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in neurology
- Experience with injections
- Phlebotomy experience
- Prior authorization experience
