Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts, imaging, and lab results for scheduled visits
• Perform patient intake, including medical history, medication reconciliation, and vital signs
• Room patients and maintain exam room cleanliness and stock
• Prepare procedure trays for in-office injections such as Botox and Xeomin
• Manage clinical phone calls and triage provider inboxes
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications using CoverMyMeds and payer portals
• Coordinate specialty pharmacy medication delivery and peer-to-peer reviews
• Manage medication inventory and samples in compliance with clinic policies

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification or diploma (CMA, RMA, CCMA or similar)
• Experience in a medical office or specialty clinic
• Strong organization and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in neurology
• Experience with injections
• Phlebotomy experience
• Prior authorization experience
