About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for unannounced Medicare/MAC site inspections.
- Escort inspectors through the facility and respond to operational questions professionally.
- Ensure facility readiness by verifying utilities, equipment, and signage are operational each morning.
- Maintain the Readiness Binder and ensure strict physical HIPAA compliance for medical records and server areas.
- Facilitate patient enrollment into the Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) portal.
- Conduct daily outbound calls and text messages to patients to document health status and maintain engagement.
- Collect and document patient health information, including medical histories and evolving symptoms.
- Distribute evidence-based health support resources such as stretching guides and exercise videos to patients.
Requirements
- Nationally certified Medical Assistant holding the CMA (AAMA) credential.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or remote care setting.
- Proficiency with Zoom, Slack, and online patient enrollment platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor when interacting with federal auditors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Orthopedics, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Sports Medicine, or Neurology.
- Background in healthcare administration, clinic operations, or front-desk management.
