Medical Assistant (MA) - Certified (CMA)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for unannounced Medicare/MAC site inspections.
• Escort inspectors through the facility and respond to operational questions professionally.
• Ensure facility readiness by verifying utilities, equipment, and signage are operational each morning.
• Maintain the Readiness Binder and ensure strict physical HIPAA compliance for medical records and server areas.
• Facilitate patient enrollment into the Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) portal.
• Conduct daily outbound calls and text messages to patients to document health status and maintain engagement.
• Collect and document patient health information, including medical histories and evolving symptoms.
• Distribute evidence-based health support resources such as stretching guides and exercise videos to patients.

Requirements

• Nationally certified Medical Assistant holding the CMA (AAMA) credential.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or remote care setting.
• Proficiency with Zoom, Slack, and online patient enrollment platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
• Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor when interacting with federal auditors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Orthopedics, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Sports Medicine, or Neurology.
• Background in healthcare administration, clinic operations, or front-desk management.
