Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow and perform diagnostic procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and vitals
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and clinical care quality measures
• Document medical history and vital signs accurately within information technology systems
• Act as a liaison to physicians to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction
• Maintain and order clinical supplies to ensure smooth office operations
• Adhere to all HIPAA privacy and security requirements

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Familiarity with medical office procedures
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Previous experience in a physician office or other healthcare setting
