Medical Assistant Instructor

Responsibilities

• Educate and provide technological and academic training to students
• Design and execute lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities
• Ensure students achieve all competencies outlined in the syllabus
• Provide ongoing academic counseling and career guidance to support student success
• Identify and refer "at-risk" students to student services to improve retention
• Use diverse evaluation methods, including cooperative learning and teamwork, to assess student progress
• Participate in academic committees to enrich campus programs and student life
• Comply with all State, Department of Education, and accreditation regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma (advanced education or college degree preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on clinical experience in a Medical Assistant role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Strong interpersonal oral presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and mentor a diverse student population

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program
• Certified Medical Assistant (RMA, CMA, or NRCMA)
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle
