Medical Assistant Instructor

Responsibilities

• Educate and provide technological and academic training to students
• Design and execute lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities
• Provide ongoing academic advising, counseling, and career guidance to students
• Monitor student progress and identify "at-risk" students to support retention efforts
• Use diverse evaluation methods, including cooperative learning and teamwork, to assess student abilities
• Participate in academic committees to enrich campus programs and student life
• Adhere to all company policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; advanced education or a college degree is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on clinical experience in a Medical Assistant role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Strong interpersonal communication and oral presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and mentor a diverse student population

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program
• Certified Medical Assistant (RMA, CMA, or NRCMA)
• Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle
