Medical Assistant II

Responsibilities

• Manage high patient volume averaging up to 40 patients daily
• Perform advanced scribing and document detailed patient histories (HPI)
• Assist with surgical procedures including biopsies, ED&Cs, and excisions
• Support cosmetic procedures such as Botox and laser treatments
• Administer local anesthesia under physician direction and remove sutures
• Manage pathology orders, prescription refills, and prior authorizations
• Operate specialized equipment like Narrowband UVB and photodynamic therapy units
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control protocols
• Ensure examination rooms are cleaned and stocked

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of medical assistant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems
• Advanced knowledge of dermatological procedures
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized training or certification in medical assistance
• Previous experience specifically in dermatology
