Medical Assistant I/II/III

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive patient care functions and ensure patient safety and comfort
• Perform delegated clinical tasks as directed by a physician or Registered Nurse
• Administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks (Level II and III)
• Execute high-level clinical procedures and serve as a resource for less experienced staff (Level III)
• Maintain accurate patient records and support clinic operations within a physical medicine and rehab specialty setting

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Basic knowledge of medical and nursing terminology
• Proficiency with computers
• Either a certification/registration as a Medical Assistant OR 1 year of directly related Medical Assistant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant
• 5+ years of directly related experience (for Level II)
• 8+ years of directly related experience (for Level III)
• Experience in Ambulatory Care
• Experience with EPIC and Windows-based computer systems
