Medical Assistant Gastroenterology

Responsibilities

• Room patients, measure vital signs, and update medication and allergy lists in the EMR
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations, including stocking and cleaning
• Assist providers with physical examinations and clinical procedures
• Manage medication refills and medication prior authorizations
• Handle phone inquiries, schedule appointments, and process referrals
• Clean and prepare medical instruments for sterilization
• Inventory and order medical supplies for the assigned area
• Maintain accurate documentation using software such as Cerner

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program (preferred)
• Equivalent healthcare experience such as EMT, LNA, Military Medic, or Technician
• Current BLS or CPR/AED certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Ability to travel between the Concord and Laconia, NH locations when required
