Medical Assistant Float

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient rooming, verification, and vitals documentation
• Use eCW to update patient status and maintain patient flow
• Prepare exam rooms and support sterile and non-sterile procedures
• Assist in surgical procedures following CDC and OSHA guidelines
• Document patient information and complete consent forms
• Manage inventory and keep exam rooms stocked
• Uphold HIPAA standards and maintain patient confidentiality

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Surgical Technician, or Scrub Technician
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited MA or Surgical Technologist program
• American Heart Association BLS certification
