About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and support for adults and children in home settings
  • Perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, updating patient history, and collecting lab specimens
  • Administer oral, topical, and injectable medications and vaccinations
  • Assist providers in procedures using aseptic techniques
  • Complete accurate EMR documentation of patient information and services
  • Coordinate services and refer families to external social care providers for social drivers of health
  • Manage administrative workflows, patient registration, and prior authorization approvals
  • Participate in outreach efforts to explain program details to potential families

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • 1 year of vital signs and phlebotomy experience
  • 1 year of EMR systems experience
  • Active BLS certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in counseling, community work, or community health activities
  • Lived experience with the communities served by Nest Health
