About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support for adults and children in home settings
- Perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, updating patient history, and collecting lab specimens
- Administer oral, topical, and injectable medications and vaccinations
- Assist providers in procedures using aseptic techniques
- Complete accurate EMR documentation of patient information and services
- Coordinate services and refer families to external social care providers for social drivers of health
- Manage administrative workflows, patient registration, and prior authorization approvals
- Participate in outreach efforts to explain program details to potential families
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- 1 year of vital signs and phlebotomy experience
- 1 year of EMR systems experience
- Active BLS certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

- Experience in counseling, community work, or community health activities
- Lived experience with the communities served by Nest Health
