Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform routine clinical skills including taking vital signs, weight, and height
• Assist providers with clinical procedures as needed
• Manage patient documentation within the EPIC electronic health record system
• Ensure all documentation is complete to allow providers to close encounters expediently
• Manage patient flow and provide chaperoning during examinations
• Maintain clinical environment by stocking rooms and ordering tests and supplies
• Execute appropriate services as delegated by RNs, nurse practitioners, or physicians
• Collaborate with department personnel to ensure quality customer service and timely care

Requirements

• High School Diploma (HSD) or GED
• Completion of a formal Medical Assisting program
• CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) certification
• Ability to obtain CPR certification within 2 weeks of hire
