Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and update medical histories in the EMR
• Prepare and stock treatment rooms for examinations
• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
• Manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and process referrals
• Clean and prepare medical instruments for sterilization
• Inventory and order medical supplies, ensuring proper labeling and removal of outdated materials
• Utilize clinical software for documentation and initiating tests or orders

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
• Successful completion of a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) program or equivalent Military medical training
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross CPR/AED certification
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience if coming from an LNA or Military background
