About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality healthcare services to residents, including assessing somatic conditions and monitoring vital signs
  • Administer medications and injections (IM, subcutaneous) within the scope of practice
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, blood draws, TB testing, ear lavage, and aseptic wound care
  • Conduct urine drug screens and assist with clinic and tele-health setups
  • Document observations of behaviors, physical symptoms, and treatment progress in resident files
  • Support the Behavioral Health Division through administrative tasks and clinical assistance to physicians
  • Maintain, stock, and inventory medical supplies and equipment
  • Educate clients on health-related issues including medication self-administration and nutrition

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Washington State Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a behavioral health or rehabilitation setting
  • At least 6 months of experience as a medical assistant in a residential setting
