About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient patient flow in examination, consultation, and treatment rooms
  • Prepare patient rooms for visits and procedures by setting up instruments and supplies
  • Clean examination rooms between patients and chaperone providers as needed
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures, treatments, and clinical tasks such as taking vital signs
  • Draw blood, prepare specimens, and assist with patient lab result collection and disbursement
  • Operate and monitor patient care equipment
  • Perform various clerical duties as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR current enrollment/completion of healthcare professional coursework (e.g., nursing, PA, or medical school) OR an equivalent combination of education and 1-3 years of experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical workflows, patient care, and basic medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (MA)
  • Certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
