About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care for patients undergoing cell and gene therapy
  • Perform patient intake, including taking vitals, medical histories, and medication reconciliation
  • Assist with clinical procedures, medication preparation, and administration per standing orders
  • Perform medical laboratory and Point of Care (POC) testing and conduct quality control on equipment
  • Document patient information and orders accurately within MiChart
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, including stocking patient bays and disinfecting equipment
  • Act as a chaperone during sensitive exams and diagnostic treatments
  • Support regulatory compliance and FACT accreditation processes

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or current enrollment in a healthcare professional program (e.g., nursing, PA, or medical school)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical workflows and basic medical terminology
  • Ability to perform moderate standing, walking, lifting, and patient transferring

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduation from a medical assistant diploma program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (MA), Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
