About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient flow in a fast-paced outpatient Obstetrics & Gynecology setting
  • Perform patient intake, including taking vitals, medical histories, and medication reconciliation
  • Provide direct patient care such as specimen processing, bench lab testing, and EKGs
  • Administer medications and immunizations per standing orders and established policies
  • Conduct medical laboratory/Point of Care (POC) testing and perform quality control on equipment
  • Prepare and organize clinical and procedure rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
  • Maintain clinic inventory and manage PAR levels as appropriate
  • Document patient information and orders accurately within MiChart
  • Act as a chaperone during sensitive exams and diagnostic treatments

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR current enrollment in a healthcare professional program (e.g., medical school, PA, nursing, or related clinical training)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical workflows, patient care, and basic medical terminology
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (MA)
  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
