Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including rooming patients and collecting medical history
• Take and record vitals, perform EKGs, and administer vaccines
• Perform medication reconciliation and medication refills
• Conduct PHQ-9, GAD-7, and SDOH screenings
• Manage care coordination, referrals, and patient outreach
• Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, prior authorization, and phone calls
• Maintain accurate medical record documentation in EHR
• Ensure sterilization of equipment and organization of exam rooms
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and HIPAA standards

Requirements

• Proficiency in medical terminology
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
• Willingness to learn and self-starter attitude
• Ability to lift 15 pounds and stand/walk for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
