Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Accompany provider in room during patient visits
• Perform patient triage including vital signs, history, and observational examination
• Scribe in EHR including history of present illness, physical exam findings, and plan of care
• Enter orders for procedures or labs and billing information as directed
• Assist with medical procedures and administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Maintain exam rooms, cleanliness, and necessary supplies
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnostic procedures, medications, and wellness
• Perform routine tests such as electrocardiograms, vision/hearing screenings, and specimen collection
• Manage prescription tasks including renewals, prior authorizations, and medication reconciliation
• Follow OSHA regulations and maintain HIPAA compliance

Requirements

• State LPN Licensure
• BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of Dermatology experience
