Medical and Scientific Reviewer

Responsibilities

• Perform scientific data fact-checking and review of promotional and non-promotional materials for medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review meetings.
• Ensure all claims and data are scientifically accurate, clinically relevant, and presented in a fair and balanced manner.
• Verify that all claims are adequately supported by references and consistent with approved product labels.
• Collaborate with internal and client medical signatory reviewers to ensure timely turnaround and alignment on material reviews.
• Utilize document management platforms like Veeva Vault PromoMats or MedComms for uploading documents and providing reference anchoring.
• Support the creation of scientific content including Scientific Response Documents (SRD), FAQs, slide sets, abstracts, and posters.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting review timelines and propose process improvements to reduce recurring errors.

Requirements

• PharmD, Ph.D., BDS, MDS, or MBBS degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in scientific writing or document quality control (QC) within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience conducting literature searches using tools such as PubMed, Ovid, or Embase.
• Strong understanding of US pharmaceutical regulations and best practices for promotional and non-promotional materials.
• Proficiency with Veeva Vault PromoMats or MedComms.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex scientific and medical data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working across multiple therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, or rare diseases.
• Direct experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Information, or Medical Communications.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment.
