Medical Affairs Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a high-performing field medical team specializing in Lung Cancer to drive scientific engagement and clinical practice transformation.
• Recruit, develop, and manage team performance by setting clear metrics and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Align field medical activities with Medical Affairs strategic plans and portfolio priorities to ensure impactful patient outcomes.
• Guide the team in gathering actionable insights and engaging stakeholders with deep scientific expertise.
• Ensure full compliance with AstraZeneca’s Code of Conduct, local regulatory requirements, and internal company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to provide medical strategy input and communicate the impact of medical activities.
• Oversee team financial resources and leverage digital technologies and data for informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in a scientific discipline (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience in team management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluency in both Korean and English.
• Strong understanding of healthcare ecosystem dynamics and local regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD).
• Direct experience as a people manager in a pharmaceutical setting.
• Expertise in clinical or pre-clinical research and evidence generation.
