Medical Affairs Director

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and scientific leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for Medical Affairs activities within the Swiss affiliate.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the Swiss Medical Affairs organization, including performance management and talent development.
• Develop and execute local medical strategies aligned with global brand and affiliate objectives.
• Oversee medical governance for protocols, amendments, informed consent documents, grants, and contracts.
• Maintain high-level scientific expertise to evaluate clinical data and the competitive landscape.
• Drive external engagement with healthcare professionals, scientific experts, and external stakeholders through advisory boards and congresses.
• Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, and Clinical Operations teams.
• Ensure all activities comply with local and international regulations, including ICH and GCP.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or equivalent with completed medical training relevant to Switzerland.
• 7–10 years of experience in clinical research and/or Medical Affairs.
• Proven leadership experience managing medical or scientific professionals.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German and/or French is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required.
