About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for Eligibility Professionals within the KanCare Clearinghouse Program
- Provide mentoring, training, and job shadowing for Trainee and Professional team members
- Assist in the development and improvement of new and existing Eligibility Professionals
- Resolve complex cases and coordinate with KDHE leadership when necessary
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations, policies, and guidelines governing managed care enrollment
- Create and provide guidance through training materials, fact sheets, and other departmental tools
- Ensure high-quality customer service and accuracy in all information provided to consumers
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent (post-secondary education preferred)
- Minimum of one year of experience in completing Medicaid programs for KanCare
- One year of experience interviewing, investigating, compiling information, or interpreting guidelines
- Strong ability to document decisions and provide technical assistance relevant to agency programs
