Media Technology Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Production Operative within one of the five Media systems
• Train student crews and junior staff, including hosting quarterly skills workshops
• Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and signal-flow diagrams
• Coordinate gear repairs, firmware updates, and track asset lifecycles and inventory
• Provide on-call support for broadcasts, campus events, and classroom technology
• Research and recommend technical upgrades to improve quality or reduce costs

Requirements

• Faith, service, and lifestyle that meet University expectations and doctrinal statements
• Audio Production: Minimum 500 verified hours including FOH/monitor mixing on large-format digital consoles and IEM setup
• Video Production: Minimum 250 verified hours in multi-camera production, lens selection, and live switching (TriCaster, vMix, or Ross)
• Lighting: Minimum 100 verified hours in programming moving-head/LED fixtures and DMX/Art-Net patching
• IT/AVoIP: Minimum 100 verified hours in configuring LAN/WAN/VLANs and deploying Dante or Waves SoundGrid

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as WSG, Dante Level 2, or NDI Advanced
• Experience with PTZ control systems, Unreal Engine virtual sets, or LED-wall processors
• Familiarity with ADA and broadcast-compliance standards (FCC, SMPTE, OSHA)
