Media Relations Associate

Responsibilities

• Support proactive and reactive media engagement for the firm’s Investment Banking businesses.
• Establish and maintain day-to-day relationships with key financial journalists.
• Serve as counsel to spokespeople and partners on media, reputation, and communications strategy.
• Source comment opportunities and write pitches for thought leadership in financial and international media.
• Manage logistics for media interviews and support spokespeople with key messaging and media training.
• Collaborate across the organization on internal communications, social media, and content development.
• Create analysis and measurement reports for the regional Communications team and maintain media lists.
• Handle audit and Compliance requirements for pre-approvals and logging of public appearances.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of financial services, banking, and capital markets.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency with media monitoring tools and technology for compiling analysis reports.
• Ability to work independently while taking direction from multiple managers in a fast-paced setting.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards related to risk, compliance, and the firm's Code of Conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

• Agency or in-house media relations experience, ideally supporting banking or financial services.
• BA in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism.
