Media & Communications Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies tailored to the upstream and gas sectors
• Monitor media channels to extract important information related to the gas business
• Develop direct channels with Upstream and Corporate Media departments to identify domestic and international publishing opportunities
• Write high-level speeches and create compelling media content
• Produce high-quality press releases, articles, presentations, and digital platform content
• Manage media relations and act as a company spokesperson when required
• Coordinate the dissemination of information regarding projects, initiatives, and achievements
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends to inform future strategies
• Support internal communication materials and organize industry conference participation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in media relations or communications within the oil and gas industry
• Strong understanding of upstream and gas industries, including regulatory frameworks and market dynamics
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information
• Proven experience in managing media relations and developing communication strategies
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills to build stakeholder relationships
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic is preferred
