About the role
Responsibilities
- Administer and assist with the self-administration of prescribed medications to residents
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Provide resident care according to established care plans to ensure all needs are met
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical, cognitive, or emotional status to the supervisor
- Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of all residents while delivering services
Requirements
- Successful completion of Medication Technician training and periodic competency testing
- Minimum of six months of experience working with seniors in a Personal Care, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform medication administration in accordance with State Regulations
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of HIPAA policies
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and kneeling
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
