MECK Pre-K Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

• Implement and model teaching strategies related to academics, social-emotional, and behavioral needs to promote growth.
• Follow program guidelines, childcare regulations, and best practices to ensure a safe, age-appropriate learning environment.
• Implement the Creative Curriculum with fidelity.
• Complete ongoing assessments and regularly collect valid documentation.
• Encourage family participation and maintain consistent communication to build strong partnerships.
• Attend and participate in all MECK Pre-K and site-specific professional development.

Requirements

• Birth-through-Kindergarten (B-K) licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods (at least 90% of the day).
• Ability to see, hear, and respond to children's needs, including stooping, sitting on the floor, and moving quickly to respond to children.
