Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment (MHE) and pneumatic systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues involving belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays.
• Manage work orders within a CMMS, including tracking labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Maintain department inventory and promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Mentor junior technicians and maintain positive working relationships across the facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 1+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 1+ years of knowledge regarding electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
• Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, use aerial lifts, and work in a warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from a vocational school or college with a focus on Mechanical or Electrical fields.
• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
• Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
