Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all established safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays.
• Create, assign, and close out work orders using CMMS, including tracking labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Mentor junior technicians to support their professional growth.
• Maintain positive working relationships across the entire operations facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 1+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 1+ years of knowledge regarding electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
• Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, use aerial lifts, and move throughout a warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from a vocational school or college with a focus on Mechanical or Electrical fields.
• Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines.
• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
