About the role

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all established safety procedures
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines and provide proper documentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays
  • Create, assign, and close out work orders using CMMS, including tracking labor hours and parts used
  • Track and store department inventory
  • Mentor junior technicians to support their professional growth
  • Maintain positive working relationships across the entire operations facility

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls
  • 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
  • 1+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics
  • 1+ years of knowledge regarding electrical and electronic principles
  • Experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher from a vocational school or college in a Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines
  • Experience with robotic operation and maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions
